Iyanla Vazant

Iyanla Vanzant is an American lawyer, author, inspirational speaker, as well as television personality, well-known for her books and Talk shows. She was born to single mother, in the backseat of a cab in Brooklyn. She attended Medgar Evers College and went to Virginia University, also holds Juris Doctor Degree from the City University of New York School of Law. Regarding her Nationality, she is American and belongs to African Ethnicity.

Vanzant has published several books such as Interiors, The spirit of a man, Peace from Broken Pieces, Acts of Faith, Yesterday I Cried, etc. which named as one of the 100 most influential Black Americans and 100 most spiritually influential living people. She also made her appearances on Oprah Prime, Anderson Live, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and also hosted TV series Lyanla, Starting over as life Coach.

Moreover, Lyanla is currently hosting Oprah’s Life class and Fix My Life which broadcast from Oprah Winfrey Network. Being inspirational speaker she has earned wide recognition and appreciation from people through different tours and TV shows. She is also an honorary member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.

Moving towards his personal life, Vanzant has been through ups and downs many times since her childhood. When she was two years old, her mother died of cancer, she was an alcoholic as well. In her hard time, Lyanla also became a rape victim but one cared at that time.

Lyanla got married for three times in her life. She was married to Kirk with whom she gave birth to a child in her teenage but divorce after a year of their marriage. She again married to Charles Vanzant and gave birth to another child but divorced after a year. Later she got married with Adeyemi Bandele with whom she has three children, Nisa, Damon and Gemmia. They are living happily with each other along with children and the couple show no sign of divorce till now.
